The CleanTech Business Club (CBC) has launched a high-impact mission to Australia, reaffirming its presence on the continent and seizing new opportunities to accelerate the global CleanTech transformation. The journey began with a special invitation to the flagship H2H networking event, “Energy Never Sleeps – Night of Innovation,” hosted by Rami Fedda, Chair of CBC Australia and Co-founder of Solar Juice Pty Ltd, alongside his associate Andrew Burgess and their incredible team.

Australia: From Solar Powerhouse to Storage Pioneer
Australia continues to lead globally in solar energy adoption, boasting one of the world’s highest rates of rooftop solar installations. Now, the nation is boldly stepping into the next frontier: energy storage.
The recent launch of the Federal Government’s Capacity Investment Scheme, designed to underwrite 32 GW of renewable energy and storage projects, marks a pivotal policy shift—and sets the stage for a new era of CleanTech leadership.
At the event, cutting-edge solutions were showcased by industry giants including Tesla, Sungrow, and Fronius, alongside high-performance solar modules from Aiko and Trina Solar—the latter increasingly innovating in energy storage technologies as well.
This strong focus on storage made the event particularly relevant to CBC’s StorageVersity initiative.
StorageVersity: Shaping the Future of Energy Storage
StorageVersity – the Joint CleanTech, Hydrogen & Water Leaders Roadmap – aims to pave the way for a sustainable energy future by championing diverse storage solutions—including battery, gravity, hydrogen, thermal, and kinetic technologies—and their critical roles across sectors, including transportation.
Crafted by expert members of the StorageVersity Expert Board, this global strategy emphasizes innovation, tailored approaches, and holistic integration to ensure every application is met with the right solution. The ultimate goal is to foster resilience, efficiency, and sustainability in global energy systems.

Government & Industry Leadership for Climate Action
The evening featured a powerful keynote by The Hon. Chris Bowen MP, Minister for Climate Change and Energy, who reaffirmed the government’s commitment to CleanTech:
“Australia’s energy future is renewable, and storage is the key to unlocking it.”
John Grimes, CEO of the Smart Energy Council and a respected global advocate, emphasized Australia's critical role in shaping international energy policy. As an active leader in the Global Solar Council, he spotlighted the country's accelerating contribution to solar, storage, and hydrogen innovation worldwide.
Solar Juice: 16 Years of Impact
Beyond Technology: The H2H Connection
Celebrating its 16th anniversary, Solar Juice has become a household name in Australia’s renewable energy landscape. Under the visionary leadership of Rami Fedda, a 28-year veteran of the solar industry, and Andrew Burgess, the company has consistently driven forward innovation in solar and storage distribution.
While CleanTech innovation is essential, the true catalyst for transformation lies in H2H (Human-to-Human) relationships. The success of “Energy Never Sleeps” showcased the profound power of trust, shared vision, and long-term partnerships—values that Rami, Andrew, and the Solar Juice team embody daily.
Strengthening Australia’s Role in the Global CleanTech Movement
Australia’s CleanTech momentum is gaining global traction—not only in solar but also in energy storage, green hydrogen, and sectoral decarbonization.
CBC is proud to collaborate with Chair Rami Fedda and other visionary leaders such as Steve Blume, CBC Honorary Chair for Australia and Secretary (Immediate Past President) of the Smart Energy Council, and Prof. Martin Green, Scientia Professor at UNSW Sydney and Director of the Australian Centre for Advanced Photovoltaics—true pioneers shaping the clean energy future.
Our mission aligns with Australia’s rapid acceleration across critical industries including Energy, Mining, Utilities, Infrastructure, Heavy Industry, Construction, Architecture, Hospitality, Maritime, Aerospace, Food, Agriculture, and the AI & Digital sectors.
We are now expanding CBC’s network across these sectors in Australia, creating new partnerships and supporting local leaders in scaling their impact.

Building CleanTech Bridges Between Australia & Africa
In parallel, we are fostering collaboration between Australia and Africa through CBC’s strategic joint ventures such as Go For Hydrogen Africa (GFHA) and Cleanvestree Africa. While the two continents are geographically distant, we firmly believe in building bridges that accelerate CleanTech adoption across borders and cultures.
Hosted by Jon Dee: A Voice for Sustainability
The evening was brilliantly moderated by Jon Dee, one of Australia’s most respected sustainability advocates.
Jon is the Founder of Planet Ark, DoSomething, National Tree Day, and One Tree Per Child. He hosted and wrote over 115 episodes of Sky News’ “Smart Money” program on business and sustainability, and was named NSW Australian of the Year in 2010.
Between 2023 and 2025, Jon served as Chair of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Australia and New Zealand, working closely with the CEO to strengthen the organisation's financial and governance foundations. He now serves as Deputy Chair, supporting its continued growth.
Jon’s deep-rooted passion for the planet and tireless work to drive sustainable change perfectly aligns with CBC’s mission. His leadership, vision, and heartfelt moderation brought an inspiring energy to the evening—reminding us that beyond technology, our shared commitment and fight for a better planet is what truly binds us.
The “Energy Never Sleeps” event was more than an innovation showcase—it was a celebration of the CleanTech Community and a powerful reminder that progress is built on connection, collaboration, and shared purpose.
As CBC deepens its mission in Australia, we remain dedicated to uniting the world’s leading minds, scaling bold innovations, and accelerating the clean transition of critical industries worldwide.
Australia’s CleanTech revolution has entered a new chapter—and together, we will make it unstoppable.
