As the largest CleanTech event in the world, SNEC spans over 500 000 m² of exhibition space and welcomes more than 600 000 visitors daily, serving as the global epicenter for CleanTech innovation, investment, and strategic alignment.

This year’s edition was especially historic for CBC, marking the launch of a groundbreaking global media initiative in partnership with SNEC—poised to redefine how CleanTech innovation is communicated, shared, and scaled across sectors and continents.

A Strategic Alliance Years in the Making

The CBC-SNEC partnership is rooted in a longstanding collaboration, led by Mi Yue, founder of SNEC and CBC Co-Chair for Asia, who has played a pivotal role in bridging CleanTech ecosystems across regions.

CBC leaders were welcomed with warmth and recognition by SNEC’s leadership and honored guests at the Opening Gala Dinner hosted by GCL Group, presided over by Mr. Gongshan Zhu—Chairman of GCL, and a key figure in global CleanTech diplomacy through his leadership roles in GGEIC and APVIA.

Mikaa Blugeon-Mered Unveils Hydrogen Geopolitics Framework

A key highlight of CBC’s delegation was the strategic keynote by Mikaa Blugeon-Mered, CBC Co-Chair for Geopolitics of the Clean Hydrogen Hub, Canada Tier-1 Research Chair in Green Hydrogen Production, and Green Hydrogen Ambassador at the International Association for Hydrogen Energy (IAHE).

In his powerful address titled“How Is Clean Hydrogen Changing the Geopolitics of Energy Storage?”,Mered emphasized the synergy—not rivalry—between battery and hydrogen storage technologies in shaping new geopolitical energy dynamics.

“Battery storage and clean hydrogen are not adversaries—they are allies,” said Mikaa Blugeon-Mered. “Together, they offer the foundation for a decentralized, sustainable, and more geopolitically balanced energy future.”

He also announced the upcoming global launch of the book“Quo Vadis Clean Hydrogen? #RemovingTheBox,which will be revealed during SNEC H2 & ES in October 2025—a must-attend event for CleanTech, Clean Hydrogen and Clean Water visionaries worldwide.
