At a Glance
The Inaugural World Clean Hydrogen Day (WCHD) will take place on 8 October 2026 at EHTP in Casablanca, Morocco, and online worldwide, marking the official launch of a new annual global platform dedicated to accelerating the clean hydrogen transformation.
The day will bring together Moroccan and international leaders, companies, institutions, innovators, researchers and partners, while featuring the Morocco and Global Reveal of Quo Vadis Clean Hydrogen?, a High-Level Leadership Panel, the presentation of CBC Strategy 2026–2030, MoU signing ceremonies and a study visit to EHTP’s integrated clean hydrogen system.
The choice of 8 October / 10.08 reflects hydrogen’s atomic weight of 1.008
Building on the symbolism of Hydrogen Day, World Clean Hydrogen Day looks to the future — accelerating the global hydrogen transformation with clean hydrogen at its core.
Morocco was chosen because it is one of the places where renewable-powered clean hydrogen can translate into real industrial value — supported by strong renewable resources, strategic geography, committed institutions and CBC’s growing local ecosystem around EHTP and the Joint Center of Excellence in Clean Hydrogen which features the first integrated clean hydrogen demonstration system of its kind in Morocco and North Africa.

World Clean Hydrogen Day is not only a celebration. It is an annual call to connect knowledge, innovation, infrastructure, finance and local ecosystems to accelerate clean hydrogen deployment.
