During its recent China mission, the CleanTech Business Club continued strengthening bridges between China, Australia, India, Morocco, Africa and the wider global CleanTech ecosystem.

From Wenzhou, through Zhanjiagang, to Shanghai, the mission demonstrated one clear message: the next phase of the CleanTech transformation will be driven by speed, scale, intelligent infrastructure, manufacturing excellence and trusted Human-to-Human collaboration.

Celebrating the opening of Fox ESS Phase II Factory in Wenzhou

CBC had the honour to attend the opening of the new Fox ESS Phase II Factory in Wenzhou, together with Rami Fedda, Co-Founder of Solar Juice and CBC Chair for Australia & Oceania, Andrew Burgess, and key members of the Solar Juice team.

We also visited REPT BATTERO and the impressive Tsingshan Holding Group Business School, gaining a deeper understanding of the powerful industrial, educational and entrepreneurial ecosystem behind this fast-growing clean energy cluster.

What makes the Fox ESS achievement especially remarkable is that the new manufacturing facility was completed in just one year — a powerful demonstration of speed, execution and long-term commitment to growth.

CBC extends sincere congratulations to Michael Zhu and the entire Fox ESS team on this impressive milestone. Over the past years, Fox ESS has grown from a fast-developing energy storage and inverter company into one of the recognised global players helping accelerate the transformation towards cleaner, smarter and more resilient energy systems.

Beyond the impressive manufacturing facilities, what inspired us most was the culture behind this success: long-term vision, continuous innovation, commitment to quality, investment in people and talent, and the ability to execute at speed and scale.

Equally inspiring was the visit to the beautiful Tsingshan Business School campus, which combines traditional Chinese culture with modern leadership education. It served as a strong reminder that no technological transformation can happen without talented people capable of driving it.

The combination of world-class manufacturing, innovation, entrepreneurship and education creates a powerful ecosystem that will continue shaping the future of CleanTech for many years to come.

Thank you to Michael, Fox ESS, REPT BATTERO and the wider teams for the warm welcome, hospitality and inspiring discussions.

Strengthening GFHA expansion with Guofu Hydrogen in Zhangjiagang

As part of the China mission, CBC also visited Mr. Pinfang Wu, Chairman of Guofu Hydrogen, in Zhangjiagang, to further discuss the expansion of GFHA — Go For Hydrogen Africa in Morocco and the next steps in strengthening the clean hydrogen ecosystem for Morocco and Africa.

This strategic visit followed the successful inauguration of Morocco and North Africa’s first integrated clean hydrogen ecosystem lab at the EHTP campus in Casablanca, jointly developed by EHTP, GFHA and Guofu Hydrogen.

The project represents a concrete example of the CBC Morocco Ecosystem in Action — connecting Chinese hydrogen technology leadership, Moroccan academic excellence, GFHA’s local execution platform, and CBC’s global H2H ecosystem.

The discussions with Mr. Wu reaffirmed the shared commitment to support Morocco’s clean hydrogen transformation through practical technology cooperation, capacity building, training, pilot projects and future ecosystem expansion.

With the continued commitment of Mr. Wu and Guofu Hydrogen, the leadership of GFHA, and the growing strength of the CBC Morocco ecosystem, CBC will continue assisting Morocco in building a future-proof clean hydrogen platform for Africa.

This is exactly the spirit of CBC’s approach: moving from vision to action, from partnerships to implementation, and from individual projects to scalable ecosystems.

CBC–ACWA–SNEC joint program during SNEC 2026 Gala

On 3 June 2026, during the SNEC Gala in Shanghai, powered by SKYWORTH Solar, CBC hosted its joint CBC–ACWA–SNEC program. A special thank you goes to Mr. Lin Jin, Chairman of SKYWORTH, and the entire SKYWORTH team for their valued support.

The program reflected the strength of long-term collaboration between CBC, SNEC, ACWA and the wider international ecosystem, with a special focus on driving clean energy transformation in Morocco and Africa together.

CBC also expressed deep appreciation to Mi Yue, Founder of SNEC and GNEEC, Executive Vice Chairman & Secretary-General at NEIAAP, and CBC Co-Chair for Asia, as well as to the entire SNEC team, for their continuous collaboration, friendship and support.

During the ceremony, Mi Yue was recognised for her visionary leadership and valued support in strengthening SNEC–CBC–Morocco–EHTP–GFHA cooperation, supporting the co-hosting of the CBC Morocco & Africa Business Mission in October 2026, and advancing the development of a joint clean energy event in Morocco in 2027.

This recognition was not only symbolic, but strategic. It reflected the growing importance of connecting China’s CleanTech leadership with Morocco’s emerging role as a clean hydrogen, clean energy and manufacturing gateway for Africa.

Honouring Rami Fedda and strengthening CBC StorageVersity & AI

The SNEC Gala also became a touching moment for the CBC Family as Rami Fedda, Co-Founder of Solar Juice and CBC Chair for Australia & Oceania, was recognised with the World CleanTech Awards — Visionary CleanTech Disruptor Tony Seba Award 2025.

It was also a highly symbolic moment, as Rami received the award from Prof. Eicke R. Weber, Chairman of the World CleanTech Awards — one of the global solar personalities who played a pivotal role in the growth of the solar industry and in building successful bridges between R&D and industry over many years.

The award honoured Rami’s visionary leadership and pioneering contributions to the solar industry, as well as his role in driving the disruptive deployment of energy storage solutions across Australia and Oceania.

Rami has been “juicing solar energy” since 1997 and is the Co-Founder of Solar Juice Pty Ltd, one of Australia’s leading solar and energy storage distributors. Together with his team, he has helped bring high-quality solar, inverter and battery storage solutions to residential, commercial and utility markets across Australia.

In recent years, Rami and the Solar Juice team have also played an important role in accelerating Australia’s battery storage transformation, recently highlighting major milestones of 1 GWh of battery storage distributed and 4 GW of solar inverters distributed.

CBC is also proud to announce that Rami Fedda has been nominated to a new global position within CBC’s 2026–2030 structure as: Co-Chair of the CBC StorageVersity & AI Hub
in Charge of the Downstream Ecosystem

This appointment reflects the growing strategic importance of downstream deployment, distribution channels, customer access, installers, commercial markets and real-world storage adoption in the next phase of the global energy transformation.

Presenting the CBC Off-Takers & Infrastructure Hub

During the SNEC program, CBC also presented one of its new strategic structures for the 2026–2030 period:

The CBC Off-Takers & Infrastructure Hub

The Hub will be chaired globally by Dr. Stefan Kaufmann, former Innovation Commissioner for Green Hydrogen of the German Federal Government.

Dr. Kaufmann played an important role in Germany’s clean hydrogen transformation, helping position green hydrogen as a strategic pillar of industrial decarbonisation, energy security and international cooperation.

The creation of the CBC Off-Takers & Infrastructure Hub reflects one of the key priorities of the new CBC Strategy 2026–2030: clean technologies will only scale if demand, infrastructure, financing and deployment pathways are structured together.

In clean hydrogen, energy storage, clean water and wider CleanTech sectors, the challenge is no longer only technology availability.

The key question is how to connect innovation with bankable demand, infrastructure readiness, industrial users, public-private partnerships and real deployment at scale.

💡 Without off-takers, there is no bankability.

💡 Without infrastructure, there is no deployment.

💡 Without partnerships, there is no scale.

Opening global submissions for the 1st Global StorageVersity & AI Innovation Challenge

A historic moment of the SNEC Gala was the official ceremony announcing the opening of global submissions for:

The 1st Global StorageVersity & AI Innovation Challenge 2026.

The initiative is organised by the CBC StorageVersity & AI Hub, powered by ACWA Power, with strategic partners including SNEC, NEIAAP, APVIA, GNEEC and GCMEN.

The global energy transformation is entering a new phase. The challenge is no longer only about deploying renewable energy and isolated storage technologies. The next transformation requires intelligent energy systems integrating multiple storage technologies, artificial intelligence, infrastructure and real demand.

The initiative aims to accelerate:

Storage Convergence + AI + Infrastructure + Ecosystem Collaboration + Scale-Up

moving from: Technologies → Systems → Pilots → Industrial Deployment → Global Scaling

Strengthening SNEC–CBC–REI cooperation

Another important highlight of the China mission was the SNEC–CBC–REI Strategic Collaboration Announcement.

China and India are fundamental to the global CleanTech transformation. Together, they represent massive markets, manufacturing power, innovation capacity, entrepreneurial energy and growing demand for clean energy, storage, hydrogen, AI and infrastructure solutions.

The collaboration between SNEC, CBC and REI Expo expresses the shared interest of the parties to explore and strengthen strategic collaboration aimed at accelerating the global CleanTech transformation and fostering stronger cooperation between China, India and the international ecosystem.

The collaboration may include joint promotion, ecosystem development, delegations, business missions, knowledge exchange, startup collaboration, cross-promotion of strategic events and support for future-proof ecosystems under the spirit of #TogetherWeAreStronger.

This collaboration is built not only on institutional alignment, but also on long-term H2H trust.

CBC brings to this process more than 20 years of trusted Human-to-Human relationships with high-level leaders in both China and India. The initiative is rooted in long-term collaboration and friendship with Mi Yue, Founder of SNEC, and Rajneesh Khattar, the “father” of REI.

Visiting GNEEC — the future home of CBC China

CBC also visited the Global New Energy Empowerment Center — GNEEC by SNEC, located next to Hongqiao Airport in Shanghai.

This remarkable platform will also become the future home of CBC China and our joint initiative with SNEC:

GCMEN — Global CleanTech Media Exchange Network

GNEEC is an amazing place — and CBC is confident that many CleanTech Business Club Family Leaders and their companies will find here a strong Chinese gateway, a trusted ecosystem platform and many new business opportunities.

The Center was launched in Minhang, Shanghai, with the ambition to promote the deep integration of solar photovoltaics, energy storage and hydrogen energy industries, building an integrated clean energy network of photovoltaics + storage + hydrogen.

Located in the core area of the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business Zone, GNEEC is dedicated to building a strategic-level industrial platform for the global development of new energy enterprises, including technology innovation, industrial upgrading, product trading, project development, resource matching, investment and financing services, technology incubation, industry training, media cooperation and shared business spaces.

For CBC, GNEEC is more than an office location. It is a future gateway for CBC members and partners entering China, a platform for international cooperation, and a physical home for CBC China’s growing activities.

From China to the world

CBC’s China Mission in June 2026 once again confirmed that the CleanTech transformation is entering a new phase.

The future will not be driven by isolated technologies alone. It will be driven by ecosystems capable of combining manufacturing, innovation, AI, infrastructure, demand, capital, human talent and trusted global relationships.

From the opening of Fox ESS Phase II in Wenzhou, to the SNEC Gala in Shanghai, to the launch of the StorageVersity & AI Innovation Challenge, the SNEC–CBC–REI strategic collaboration and the visit to GNEEC, one message was clear:

CleanTech is moving from vision to execution at scale.

CBC is proud to continue building bridges between China, Australia, India, Morocco, Africa, Europe, the Middle East and the wider global ecosystem.

Because the transformation ahead is too large for any single company, country or sector to deliver alone.

It will require trust, speed, innovation, execution and Human-to-Human collaboration.
